Assignment Title:  Shooting beauty (Digital Image Production 2) Location Photography Studio: JM006, Southampton Solent University Concept The main concept of this project was based on a word which was given to you in class – for example, mine was ‘NAKED’. The editorial consisted of taking a series of images relating to your word with backup and research, document the post production of the images and choose the best three (front and sides), for the final images. My model will have geometric lines in all colours across the right side of her face, down the side of her neck and on her left hand. Her hair will be gelled to make it look wet and will be pulled back. Technical Requirements Use a white background to emphasise colour. A camera, tripod, hot shoe adapter, sync lead, 2x boom stands, 2x studio lights, 2x soft boxes and a reflector. I will take a series of images, choosing the best portrait, side and back images to alter and use as final images. Moodboard My moodboard shows different ideas that explore the work Naked, including the idea’s in which I want to use. It shows the types of poses and facial expressions I want to explore and the type of makeup that I will be trying to achieve. I want to create bold images with fairly harsh lighting but not too harsh that it will destroy the colours within the image.
