My final moodboard for creating a brand image is mainly based on Japan and aspects of Japan that I can incorporate into a makeup look for Illamasqua. Illamasqua is a very out there brand, and most of their shoots are wacky and easily recognisable. They seem to always have a theme, for example in the second image in on the top line, the makeup has clearly been designed to relate to the Queen of hearts, from Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to have a theme for my shoot, so after researching lots of different ideas - my final idea is Japan. The main aspects that I want to include that relate back to Japan is the classic white face and bright lip, and the typical Japanese floral print min some way. I think I will give my model a pale/white face and cover her face in messy patterns that could look like the trees in the bottom right corner. Ill create branch like lines of her face with colour coming from them to relate to the typical Japanese flower in the bottom left of the moodboard. To relate further to Illamasqua, I will shoot my look with a black background and the focus of the image will be the face (close up).
